I then reinstalled strike from the original disk and and used only the 1.03 updater. Pro tools worked perfect including the Air plug ins. Ran protools and without opening or creating a session closed it again. I restarted and reinstalled protools 8.03. I then upgrade using the mac software updater until no more updates appeared. I then uninstalled protools, did a clean install of Mac OSX (wiping the disk clean and did no migration from the old computer). Also BFD did not have the font and pics right (the said it looked like a double font problem). When I started pro tools I would get a spinning rainbow disk on every Air plug in and strike looked as you describe (this would lock up pro tools and i had to force quit). I also ran the 1.02 strike updater then the 1.03. I set my old G4 to target mode and went through the first start up and did a migration of all stuff. I will tell my recent experience with updating strike getting the same look as you described (yellow). Also you don't seem to know and did not say much about what your system. I would like AIR or digidesign support to tell me what can I do.Īlso I would apreciate suggestions of anyone who can help me.įirst you can go open a support case with Digi and they will communicate with you one on one. The ilok doesn't appear in the finder but i can open strike in pro tools and listen to it. I installed later the previous update of strike (I mean the strike 1.0.2 for leopard) but the yellow and confused plug in interface did not dissapear. Now the problem is that when I want to install the updater, the install device shows (under choose destination) my macintosh HD (hard drive) but tells me that this is a plug in version for snow leopard and doesn't allow to continue with installation (as if I should have another previous version of snow leopard installed I think). then I downloaded th update strike 1.0.3 for snow leopard (because i read some posts with the same issue). I used to work with strike under Windows xp with no problems, but know I have installed pro tools 8.0.3 and strike from dvd box of my own, and at the first time the plug in appeared yellow with a poor interface. I have macbook pro 2009 with mac os 10.6 wich I think is snow leopard (at least is what the manual and installation dvd says) since i few weeks.
